The Midnight Call!

1st Thessalosians 4:13-18

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not preventd them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comforte one another with these words.

Today'sdevotion is an ....odd one for me. I have noticed a trend among the Christian community on Facebook. A disturbing one to say the least. Many (Not all) seem to way into self or inwardly focused. I, as a Teacher and Preacher, am going to take a liberty; the same one The Apostle Paul did in today’s reading. As he wrote to the Thessalonian Church they needed encouragement. I pray Christ will encourage you, the reader, the same way. As the working body of Christ, I can’t help but feel as if we have been remiss in our Jobs. As a group we are failing to deliver the Message of Christ to our generation. They are on a cliff overlooking HELL. We, armed with the Gospel, The Good news of Salvation are the only thing standing between them and the pit. So I want to encourage each one reading with this song, Midnight Cry. One day soon Jesus is coming back to gather that which is his. What a day that will be. The Father is so long suffering. He does not want to lose even one soul. When we lose someone within our sphere of influence and we could have told them of Salvation, but did not, How will we explain that to Jesus? How will we tell him I was busy finding pictures on Facebook? How can we explain that we were busy looking in and not out? Now I am not telling you that every soul that dies that we know is our soul responsibility. It is not, we are not alone. We are however responsible to Get out there and by all means, give the Gospel message to them. It is with LOVE, that I say these things. It is with Love that I remind us all That there will be a Midnight Call and Jesus will come again. C.H. Spurgon was asked once, "If you knew that tonight, that Jesus was coming again, What would you Do?” His reply was simply "I would finish dinner." I don't know if I am as sure as Bro. Spurgon that I had finished all that Christ has for me to do, but I know NOW is the time to be preparing. I pray that everyone reading this will hear the words "Well done! Good and faithful servant". Brothers and Sisters, It needs to be asked, Are you doing the work God has called you To do? If you think the work done here on Facebook, is YOUR work for God, let me remind you in Love, It is not a substitution for soul winning. The work you do here is in Addition to looking after the souls God has placed is your Path. Look Up, your redemption draws close!! Are You ready?  Have you done all that there is to do? I urge you to listen to this song. Let it be our prayer for Today and our reason for tomorrow. I wish you peace.

VERSE 1:
I HEAR THE SOUND
OF A MIGHTY RUSHING WIND
AND IT'S CLOSER NOW
THAN IT'S EVER BEEN
I CAN ALMOST HEAR THE TRUMPET
AND GRABIEL SOUND THE CHORD
AT THE MIDNIGHT CRY WE'LL BR GOING HOME.

CHORUS:
WHEN JESUS STEPS OUT
ON A CLOUD TO CALL HIS CHILDREN
THE DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE
TO MEET HIM IN THE AIR
AND THEN THOSE THAT REMAIN
SHALL BE QUICKLY CHANGED
AT THE
MIDNIGHT CRY
WHEN JESUS COMES AGAIN.

VERSE 2:
I LOOK AROUND ME
I SEE PROPHECIES FULL FILLING
AND SIGNS OF THE TIMES
THEY'RE APPEARING EVERYWHERE
I CAN ALMOST HEAR THE FATHER
AS HE SAYS
"SON GO GET YOUR CHILDREN."
AT THE
MIDNIGHT CRY
THE BRIDE OF CHRIST WILL RISE.

AND THEN THOSE THAT REMAIN
WILL BE QUICKLY CHANGED
AT THE
MIDNIGHT CRY
WHEN JESUS COMES AGAIN
AT THE
MIDNIGHT CRY
WHEN JESUS COMES AGAIN
WHEN JESUS COMES AGAIN.
