OK folks, here are the last 2, Top 10 reasons why I believe in the Resurrection.
9) The Resurrection was a fitting climax to the Life of Jesus.
Looking at the life of Jesus from an author’s perspective, it makes sense. From a Christian’s perspective, it is nothing short of Glorious. "Local Rabbi, who made outrageous claims, preformed the impossible, raised the dead, healed the sick, made the blind see is executed in the most horrible way possible at the hands of his enemies.” Who would buy that book? Now add a resurrection scene and it is a fitting ending to a glorious life.
10) My Experience makes me a Living Witness because it matches the what His Word told me to expect and the experience of countless others down through history.
Romans 8:11 is clear as crystal. The same Spirit that raised him, made me born again. This was the same rebirth experienced by Peter, Paul, all the apostles and everyone who has ever called him master and Lord! That Spiritual Power is only available to those who know the reality of his Resurrection, the effectiveness of his Atonement and its application to our hearts. The cost was paid by Jesus for your and my Salvation. It is astounding, almost immeasurable in terms of personal suffering! He endured it all for us. A Holy God needed to be satisfied. His Resurrection is the proof that it was accepted by The Father and our way to reconciliation with him made clear.
It is my sincere hope this study helps you when Satan tries to sow doubt. It is a great evangelistic tool as well. Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, Thank you for sending your son to us that Christmas morning, knowing full well that he was to be THE sacrificial Lamb for us all. We may not always realize that the true gift we received from you took place on Calvary, when your son, Jesus Christ, paid for our sins and for our salvation. When we think of Christmas, it is that gift that we are truly thankful for. Help us to spread your word to bring others to your flock, so that they too can know what an amazing gift you have given us. We Praise you Lord and ask this in your Holy Name, Amen.
