Discerning Faith

Matthew 17: 1-20

Have you ever thought about how Faith is expressed? So many times we are told to live by Faith, but what does that mean? Where the rubber meets the road so to speak. We say all the time, "I have faith to ......". We know that it is the substance of things hoped for. Isn't there more to it than that? During what I call the romance phase or the initial steps in our walk Jesus, we are rewarded for our faith. We have just been saved and the romance of this new relationship is glowing with the intensity of the sun. We are Blessed, we can really feel the Lord living in us, changing us and working in us. We haven't really earned anything. It is just that we are now right with God. Only yesterday we were enemies.

After a while of this Glorious new life and our being so heavenly minded, God needs to get our attention. We can not live off that conversation experience. God has so much more in store for us; much more than emotional highs. Our early Christian lives are lived around those highs. God wants us to live by FAITH, existing from Faithful action to faithful action. To often we waste time waiting to "FEEL" Gods blessing before we do the action. We are only wasting time. Those Glorious feelings come AFTER we have done the mission, not before. We should trust in the very FAITHFUL nature of God, it's his character, faithful is what he is.That is the physical maniifestation of FAITH. Trusting that Father knows best, unil Job 13:15 becomes a completely understandable path or option. For those not familiar with that, I will put it in modern English: "Even if God decides it is better for the Kingdom that I loos my life, I will have faith in him." That is the true Goal of Faith, to trust God as Jesus did. That Brethren is a Lifestyle of Lordship. From our first baby steps to a lifestyle of Lordship. FAITH. Let us pray:

Our Savior and our God, Thank you for growing faith in us. That as we believe you and your Word. We see more opportunities to trust you. You long to see us as faithful in small things, so we can become rulers over much. You are Lord of all in every area of our hearts and Lives. You are KING.Help us live from faith to the next chance to prover you are faithful. We Love you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
