Born Again

2nd Cor 5:17
When I write, I love using comparisons. Sort of "This is like that". The problem I am having with today's reading is I can not find anything worthy of comparison. A caterpillar that crawls into a cacoon and emerges a butterfly? NO, that falls totally short. We are given wings on the inside to fly to the heights of heaven, but we are still bugs; however we are bugs that have been touched by God.
Being Born Again is so much more than a mere transformation. It is a new birth; One that removes the sting of Adams curse, one that moves us from the family of man to the Family of God. We may look the same, but every aspect our our core being is changed. Everything. How we view ourselves, mankind, how we view God, life and our role in it. All is changed, nothing is the same. We see all things through the eyes of Christ. What is valuable, life's values, our perception of how God values and what God values is completely changed in an instant. What is his motivation is now ours.
I feel so completely inadequate in this humble attempt to describe the single greatest event in my life. Infinitely more than the miracle of the birth of my beloved children, and that I saw occur in front of my very own eyes. As his Minister and Preacher, I am even more inadequate. Any ability someone sees in me is because of that new birth. Some of you who are reading this knew me before my rebirth, some for decades. So, you know this is true. Yet it is this life altering experience that makes me a vessel. A tool to share the Gospel with a world gone mad. No I can never give words to explain the life work of God that is being Born Again.
Have YOU received the MIRACLE that is being Born Again? I may not give the experience its due with these words; I can however offer it to you. Jesus wants you to have it, to be placed in a right relationship with him. It is offered, shared and received the same way since the time of Jesus. Enjoyed by Billions through out history. Jesus wants to set you free today. The only unforgivable sin is the rejection of his offer and drifting into a Christ-less eternity. Please contact me today. My Father and my God, thank you for making us Born Again, born of God and alive for and by Christ. This day I wish to pray for those your Spirit is working on, those teetering on the edge of an eternity of existance without you or the opportunity to change. Guide them to the ones YOU have charged with sharing your FREE GIFT of Salvation. All we pray for this day is that opportunity and your aid in seeing them BORN AGAIN. For Heavens sake and in Jesus'name we ask. Amen and Amen.
